Sociopathic Behavior

The Chicago Tribune does it's best to do a story on the Jena 6 scandal and they've managed to uncover a few things that are quite interesting. Looks like the money raised for these underprivileged youth is going to good use.

There are only a few things that can piss me off more than misappropriated sympathy.

I want to break down exactly what went down with this case.

6 [who cares what race they were] men jumped 1 [who cares what race he was] man outside of a high school in Jena, LA.

We have the media attempting to say it was a retaliatory act after white students hung nooses from a tree in front of the school over three months prior to this incident. We have the media refusing to publish the fact that Mr. Bell was already on probation for assault when he decided to take part in a 6-on-1 beating.

I guess we have a line in America that we're unwilling to cross. We're not willing to stand up and let people know that violence simply will not be tolerated. No, we couldn't do this in the Jena 6 case because it's obvious that 6 black teens could not be attempting to murder a white teen. They were just beating his ass for no good reason. They didn't intend it to result in death. No, because we would then have to look at the results of the opposite occasion.

If this case were flipped. If this were a case of an apparent 'racist' southern town where 6 white males had decided to visciously beat 1 black male, we would have the same people 'protesting'. They would be protesting if the sentence was reduced to simple assault because no group of white males could only intend on simply beating him. They would certainly be out to murder this man.

We live in a country of fanatical lunatics who have decided they will not bother to fix the problem, they will simply attempt to fix the outcome in favor of one group over another.

This is a case of racial injustice. Unfortunately, it is not the race that the protesters would have you believe.
